ShidduchMatch launched in 2026 and is run from Israel. We are a young site, and we prefer to say so plainly rather than make promises we cannot back up.
General dating apps are built for volume and quick swipes. They rarely ask the questions that matter most for a Jewish home: how you keep Shabbat, what kashrut means to you, which community you feel part of, whether you want to raise children with the same traditions. The compatibility score takes into account religious observance, kashrut, Shabbat, lifestyle, geography, children, education and smoking, as well as personality, measured with a test based on the Big Five model. It is calculated in both directions, so a suggestion makes sense for you and for the other person.
ShidduchMatch is for Jewish men and women aged 18 and over who are ready to invest time in finding the right person. Some are looking for a first marriage, others are divorced or widowed and want to rebuild a family, and some already have children. The situation and criteria step lets you say openly whether you accept a partner with children or with a disability, so that nobody has to explain their situation again and again.
The personality test is there for a simple reason: two people can share the same observance and still be very different day to day. Knowing how open, organized, sociable, agreeable and emotionally steady someone is helps predict how well two people will live together.
ShidduchMatch is designed for people who want a lasting relationship, above all marriage. You state clearly what you are looking for (marriage, a serious relationship or friendship) so that expectations are clear on both sides.
Secular, traditional, conservative, reform, modern orthodox, orthodox or haredi: every member is welcome, and none is judged. Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi and mixed backgrounds are all part of our community. The goal is not to push anyone in one direction, but to help each person meet someone whose practice fits their own.
Messaging only opens after a mutual match. Apart from your main photo, you decide whether each photo is Public, Blurred or Hidden until there is a mutual match. Many people prefer to search discreetly, and the site is built to allow that.

This matters in practice: a French-speaking family in Netanya, a Russian-speaking engineer in Haifa, an English-speaking professional in London or Toronto can all describe themselves in their own language and still find each other. Geography is one of the factors in the compatibility score, and Premium members can filter by country, distance and language, whether they want to meet someone nearby or are open to building a life in another country, including making aliyah.
